William S. McIntosh

During the past fifty years of producing portraiture, William S. McIntosh has risen to the top of his art. He has established himself not only as a skilled artisan, but also as a gifted teacher and public speaker. His clients include the Joint Chiefs of Staff and numerous judges and dignitaries. His portraits have consistently been accepted for the annual Professional Photographers of America, Loan Collection (the best of the best) for thirty years. He has been recognized as one of the Top Five Photographers in the world (Creative Image Magazine). His mastery of light, pose, and design highlights the optimistic, positive aspects of his subjects. The increasing recognition of this originality and power of his work has generated a growing demand for his portraiture, as well as his presentations and professional seminars around the world. Photography is more than a means of recording the obvious. The images created by William S. McIntosh become a celebration. The artist's ability to interact personally and artistically with each client continually creates award-winning images of excellence.

Leslie McIntosh

Continuing a family tradition into the new millennium, Leslie McIntosh represents a new generation of high quality portrait artists. Recently returning to Virginia Beach to join the family business, Leslie completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, moving on to London and then Hamburg to build a successful career in the advertising and fashion photography business. She sensitively captures the mood of a subject's character, personality, and stage of life. Leslie has specialized in Families, Mothers and Children, along with High School Seniors, but is open to all markets. She is currently creating portraits for clients in the Hampton Roads and Outer Banks areas.

Has participated in major advertising campaigns for Fuji Photo Film since 1990.

Awarded Hon. Fellow of the Master Photographers Association of Great Britain 2002. One of 17 and the only American to hold this honor.

Two books published – "Location Portrait Photography, the Story Behind the Art" 1996. "The Classic Portrait" 2004.

William S. Mclntosh has lectured on portrait photography in most states of the U.S., Europe, Scandinavia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Canada. He presently makes portraits of C.E.O.'s of major companies and their families.
